HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION

Human rights education aims to provide people with an understanding of human rights issues and equip them with the skills to articulate their rights. Human rights education also addresses the attitudes and values of people in relation to human rights principles.

Through human rights education people learn to communicate these competences to others and take action to stop and prevent human rights violations.

THE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION CENTRE

The International Human Rights Education Centre advises and supports Amnesty International’s global network of human rights educators.

It contributes to the planning and delivery of human rights education work being carried out in Amnesty International sections and structures and works together with the entire movement to achieve human rights change through various forms of human rights education.
